Primus® has expanded its commitment to the new effective and environmentally responsible wet cleaning concept with the recent opening of a SoftWash® training room at its Pribor, Czech Republic facility.
The state-of-the-art training room hosted its first group equipment distributors from Latin America in early March. Those involved in the training sessions were impressed not only by the room itself, but also the Primus SoftWash wet cleaning solution.
“Our guests were quite enthusiastic about the results the SoftWash system is able to deliver,” said Arnaud Guerin, Segment Manager International Wet Cleaning. “Likewise, our wet cleaning training room generated rave reviews from the group.”
The wet cleaning room is essentially a complete and fully functional operation, featuring an FX180 washer-extractor, T16 tumble dryer, SPS10 stacked washer and dryer, as well as a complete set of finishing equipment that one would find in most any dry cleaning shop in the world. It also has a water softener and Concord detergents.
SoftWash is a fast dry-to-dry wet cleaning solution process. The whole process – cleaning, drying and finishing – takes only one hour. The innovative system also saves money by eliminating costly chemicals, while reducing water usage. Best of all, its versatility opens up additional revenue opportunities by being able to treat items such as leather jackets, house textiles, furniture coverings, and fire-proof garments.
“We believe our SoftWash system is so revolutionary that customers and distributors from around the world will gather in our Pribor training facility to advance their knowledge of the product’s flexibility and effectiveness,” Guerin said.
The SoftWash wet cleaning training room is located inside the Alliance Laundry Systems Science, Technology, And Research (STAR) Center. STAR Center is the hub of research and development activities, with 150 machines being tested at any given time, as the company stays in the lead developing innovative machines and controls for the laundry industry. The facility also features a water reclaim system in support of the company’s focus on reducing energy and water consumption not only in its machines, but also its facilities.
